Etsy Featured Seller - Tiffany Teske

Tiffany Teske's shop on Etsy features the most unique photography I have seen in a very long time.  I particularly love the polaroid image transfers that are available in her shop. Not only are they very stunning images but lots of them are taken in locations that are far away from her hometown of Banff, Alberta, Canada. In just a quick glace, I spotted photographs that had been taken in Iceland, Norway, Spain, Austraila, Haiti and Maine.  In addition to her polaroid image transfers, Tiffany also creates prints in various finishes including color, black & white, sepia, hand colored print and mixed media art.

Tiffany has been taking photos since she was 7 years old and creating mixed media for the past year.  She finds inspiration everywhere.  She is inspired by by nature, by civilization and how it invades nature, in patterns and textures both organic and inorganic, by all things vintage and historic, by her child and her relationships with others and by animals in the wild just to name a few things.

Tiffany's goals for her business are to be able to continue to make a living working for herself by creating art. I believe this is why the one word she choses to describe herself is driven! :)

On a personal note, Tiffany lives in Canada with her husband and 17 month old daughter. She loves photography, art and travel so much that they are both her work and her hobbies.

Etsy Featured Seller - Alilsumptinsumptin

The Etsy shop Alilsumptinsumptin has beautiful one of a kind handmade jewelry. This jewelry features lampwork beads that are combined to make pieces that are truly unique. There is even a section of the shop dedicated to animal themed jewelry and 100% of the proceeds are donated to the Humane Society of the United States. Eva, the owner of Alilsumptinsumptin, says that one of her goals is to use her creative abilities in a positive way and to raise $1,500 for the Humane Society by the end of the year. It looks like she is well on her with over $1,000 already donated.

Eva has been creating her jewelry for the past 3 years and she says her inspiration comes from her love of dogs and flower gardens. She is also inspired by artisan Lampwork beads, and the many super talented and crafty artists she has discovered through Etsy and the world wide web. In addition, she is inspired by color but says she loves all colors equally.

Besides creating her wonderful jewelry, Eva enjoys watch foreign & indie films and documentaries. She is an avid fan of Brazilian Jazz, Jazz, Acid Jazz, Nu-Jazz, Electronic, Lounge, World Music, Alternative, and funky pop. Her current favorite food is Wild Salmon but that is subject to change. According to Eva, the single word she would use to describe herself is *nerd*!

I'm still here!

I am still here but very scarce.  Jacy's mom went back to work so I am watching Jacy a lot more.  Jacy's mom has an old/new job.  She went back to work at the same place she worked before she moved out of our house.  Even after being gone from there for almost 18 months they were willing to have her back.  Last week she worked 28 hours and this next week she will work 35 hours. 

She likes working but told me she can't really get too excited about it right now.  The reason she can't get too excited is because she owes me money.  I paid off her outstanding traffic tickets and the grand total was over $900.  And yes my eyes did bug out when they told me that.  But now she is in good standing with the law enforcement officials and we can quit worrying about them showing up at our door to arrest her.

Okay back to sewing now! :)

Sometimes we have bad days . . .

and not even Neena can figure out why.  I hate to see her cry like this and thankfully it is not very often!

Who does that dog nose belong to?

Someone e-mailed me the other day and wanted to know what kind of dog I had.  I didn't realize it but it was pointed out to me that I have only posted pictures of my doggie nose on my blog.  I was shocked when I looked back and realized that was the truth.  I felt bad that my sweetie has never been posted in full on my blog.  So here she is in all her glory.  The most spoiled shar pei dog in these parts.    This is Chloe and she is the best dog.  A little high maintenance due to her breed but well worth it! :)

Another favorite

Sewed this one and just had it in the shop for a few days before it sold.  I was actually a little sad to see it go.  I had hopes that it would stay around long enough that it wound up in my closet.  Of course, after the purses go to my closet they can't be returned because I don't sell used merchandise!
