Yes I know . . . my blog looks very very strange.  I'm not sure what happened.  I was trying to find out what size I need to make a new banner and this is what I got.  Argh!

I'm working on getting it straighten out but I'm not sure what I am doing.  Bear with me, okay?

Just playing around today. I love Chucks! I will be getting Jacy a pair (or two or three!) when she has feet big enough for shoes.

In other news, I am not sewing right now because the good machine is in the shop. I will have to get out my old faithful if I want to sew for the next week. At least I am lucky to have a back-up machine. I know people that sew for a living and only have one machine.

So thankful I am. I have lots of fabric, one good machine that is being repaired (and I have the money to repair it), one back-up machine and tons of cool photos on flickr to play around with.

Of course, that is not everything I am thankful for but just a scratch on the surface.

new art for the studio

These belong to me now.

My studio walls are a bluish turquoise color.  I call it Tiffany Box Blue.  The paint company calls it something else.  Anyway, I fell in love with these prints on SimplyModern.etsy.com but they were in a different color.  I contacted the artist and she put them up in this color scheme for me.  I want my studio to be turquoise and red with white furniture.  It will take me a while to decorate the whole studio because it isn't something that is really necessary.  So I will do it in little bits here and there.  These cute prints are a fabulous start, don't you think?

Why on EARTH?

Why on earth do people steal others' financial information?  Oh I know why they do it.  I just wish people would stop doing that kind of stuff.  Jacy's mama got a letter in the mail today that her financial information had been sold.  Apparently she had an account somewhere that has all of her info.  Birthdate, address, debit card number, the whole shebang.  Well an employee there sold millions of customers' information.  Right now they know for sure that her info was sold to a marketing company but they are still investigating as to where else it may have been sold.

So . . . in addition to taking Jacy to the clinic for her PKU test and putting my car in the shop.  We also have to go and close her bank account and reopen a new one for her.  This is beyond inconvenient for us.  And I hope the person responsible for this mess gets in a heap of trouble and it takes them forever and ever to dig out!

She didn't like it much. But she got over it pretty quickly. Jacy is becoming such a good baby. She doesn't fuss about much of anything any more. As long as her mama keeps her fed and her diaper changed, she is content just to hang out and be cute. Gotta love that! :)

Jealous much?

Normally she wants nothing to do with the camera.  But with plenty of camera action going on around here with the new baby, she is trying to make her presence known.  She doesn't act like she even realizes the baby is here most of the time.  But she sleeps outside the door of the room the baby sleeps in.  She is guarding the baby and mama while they sleep.  I told you EVERYONE is in love with that little cutie! :)

The BIG day!!

I'll be leaving in just a bit to go back to the hospital to see Jacy's arrival.  She got checked in last night and after they gave her the medicine to thin her cervix she was having  some cramping and a few contractions but not enought to justify me staying the night.  She took a sleeping pill so she could get a good night's rest for the big day.  When I left last night she was having to lay on her right side because her blood pressure was crazy high (142/97) but other than that everything was great.  When I got there the baby's daddy had returned with her food requests of chocolate mini donuts, sprite, sun chips and rolaids!

I'm taking the laptop to the hospital today and if I am able I will keep everyone informed.  I can't believe I am going to be a grandmother today!
